About the License
In order to popularize BURN-Proof technology and improve the end user's recording quality on CD-R and CD-RW drives, a license to the BURN-Proof technology is available from Sanyo. Drive manufacturers are able to adopt the BURN-Proof technology and incorporate it into their next generation offerings, most particularly 12x and faster because the occurrence of Buffer Under RuN error becomes more prominent as recording speeds increase.
