These members are part of the development, distribution, design, manufacturing and the integration of the consumer electronics.

There are profits that are made from the Consumer Electronics Show CES and these are all put back into the industry. The profits are used for training in the tech field, education, promoting the industry, improving the engineering standards, development, using money for advocacy groups in legislation and for research within the market.

The very first Consumer Electronics Show CES was in New York City in 1967 of June. At that time there were only 200 exhibitors that attended and there were over 17,500 people that showed up to attend the show. However, by this time the show has grown exponentially year after year.
