Smartphones

Smartphones have become the phone to get. They have numerous features and advantages that the average cell phone does not have. They are able to multi-task, go online, down load applications and practically act as a small computer. Smartphones have the advantage of incorporating multiple features all into a very small device. The majority of smartphones come with:

Cameras and video features

The cameras are digital and the images and photos are almost identical to what can be found on regular digital cameras. The camera will have pixels from either 3 to 8, depending on the make and model. However, with smartphones many times the camera has additional features and options to use, as well as there are apps that can be down loaded to further enhance the camera. The video feature can take audio videos and again there are apps that can be down loaded to enhance the video feature as well.

Memory

Internal memory, as well as mini SD card memory can be added to smartphones. The memory on smartphones are anywhere from 2 to 8GB. However, an SD card can be added to move applications and data too, so that the internal memory of the phone is not used up and this makes the phone faster as well.

Being able to tether and sync to other devices. Most smartphones can be automatically synced to computers and even have automatic updates made from online programs. For example, the calendar on the smartphone can be synced with Google calendar and updates happen instantly to both when any changes are made to the calendar.

Internet access through 3G or 4G service, as well as WiFi access too. Smartphones are no longer tethered to only using the service providers system to go online, they are able to accept WiFi access as well. This can cut down on the amount of data used with the service provider, as well as increase the number of locations that service can be obtained.
